Free app available at the Apple App Store gives commercial printers the ability to monitor jobs and equipment

Mortsel, Belgium, March 22, 2011 – Agfa Graphics announced today that the company has created a special iPhone App that allows users to connect to their :Apogee Prepress server from an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. The :Apogee Prepress App allows users to visualize the JDF submitted job list and track the equipment status in prepress production.

"The :Apogee Prepress App can be used to get a quick check of a specific job during production. A convenient status overview of the prepress equipment, including proofers, CtP systems and other output devices, can also be displayed with the :Apogee Prepress App", said Erik Peeters, Marketing Manager for :Apogee at Agfa Graphics. "The status of jobs can easily be determined by a simple color-code: green means a job is complete; blue means the job is waiting, for example, for a file to be uploaded; and red means that an error occurred and needs attention."

The App is available as a free download from the Apple App Store. An internet connection is needed to access the :Apogee Prepress server.
