River Falls, WI, March 30, 2011 – NELA is proud to announce that it has been selected as the prepress and plate automation punch and bending partner of The Oregonian. The Portland, Oregon based newspaper has installed two (2) NELA Evolution Vision Register Punch/Bender combinations for inline connection with Krause LS-Jet CtP devices and Bluefin processors.

Each NELA Evolution Vision Register Punch/Bender punches and bends three hundred (300+) single wide plates per hour. The system includes NELA Page Tracking Software which tracks the date & time the plate was processed via a barcode that is imaged on the bend tabs.  The information is saved in a log book on the computer for easy access and production evaluation.
